

A Colorado law student expecting to graduate in 2020, Jacob Scholl is pursuing his juris doctor from Denver University Sturm College of Law. Upon the completion of his degree, he plans on becoming a criminal defense attorney. In addition, Jacob Scholl has a professional interest in both divorce and marijuana law.
During his schooling, Mr. Scholl has been gaining practical experience through a variety of roles. These include serving with the University of Denver Student Law Office during the fall of 2019, and being both a legal extern for Magistrate Hubler in the 2nd Judicial District of Denver and a legal extern for the Hinton Law Office over summer of that same year. Through these positions, he gained experience drafting legal orders, observing hearings, and brainstorming oral arguments for clients. Further, he was in charge of conducting research and drafting client pleadings.
Prior to this, Mr. Scholl served as a legal extern for both Judge Starrs in the 2nd Judicial District of Denver and Judge Freyre in the Colorado Court of Appeals. He held both positions for several months, gaining experience in everything from researching legal questions to furthering his proficiency with the Fifty State Survey and the legal research service Westlaw. Jacob Scholl received a bachelor’s in international sports administration and agency law from the Metropolitan State University of Denver.
